This category of visas caters for persons who have a successful history in managing a business and certain assets. The requirements for such persons may be lower if they start their business/investment activity in regional Australia. With the exception of the business talent visa, the Immigration department first issues a provisional visa, which leads to permanent residency after a certain period, if the business/investment activity has been set up and is ongoing. Spouses and dependent family members can be included in the application.

Business Owner

For persons who have got a successful business career, business assets of at least 200 000 A$ with an annual turnover of at least 500 000 A$ and personal asserts of at least 500 000 A$. The requirements for regional Australia are lower.

Investor

For individuals with a high level of management skill who participated in managing a qualifying business in which they hold a share of at least 10 % or managed an own investment of at least 1 500 000 A$. Investors need to have personal assets of at least 2 250 000. The requirements for regional Australia are lower.

Senior Executive

For those who have been employed in the top management in a strategic activity of a company with an annual turnover of at least 50 000 000 A$. The requirements for regional Australia are lower.

Business Talent

Applicants for this permanent visa need to have business assets of at least
400 000 A$ in a qualifying business, with an annual turnover of at least 3 000 000 A$ and personal assets of at least 1 500 000 A$.
